Thanksgiving 2017

This has been a crazy year. So many changes, some positive…others not so much but overall, I have a lot to be thankful for.

Every year I try to make some old favorites like stuffed jalapeños, beer and bacon pecan bars and cranberry sauce with peppers interspersed with some new recipes. This year’s “freshman class” included: Gooey Chocolate Drop Cookies, Salted Caramel Pecan Pie, Maple Butter Mashed Sweet Potatoes and Broccoli Rice and Cheese Casserole.

I’ve already started thinking about Christmas…and New Years…I know that I will make Four Layer Dessert and Coconut Cream Pie…but im open to suggestions on the rest…probably some peppermint bark (I like to use dark chocolate and white chocolate) and super buttery toffee…

My only regret is that I will not have time to make tamales this year….
